Research
You’re in the fun first step! Looking through Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, TikTok at all of the wedding inspiration and gorgeous photos and videos that so many talented wedding professionals have created and you’re learning what you like, don’t like, love, and what you truly want in your wedding day.
In this step, it’s important to step back and think of what your dream wedding day and wedding gallery would look like, rather than thinking of what’s on trend or what you think your day should look like. At the end of the day, it is your wedding day, one of the most important chapters in your love story and it’s important you choose a wedding photographer who you trust to document that.
Research Deeper Into The Photographer’s You’re Most Interested In
Once you’ve figured out what style you love and found a few photographer’s you’re interested in, it’s time to check out their websites and send inquiries. Go to your potential wedding photographer’s websites and if you think they’re a good fit, fill out an inquiry to get in touch, we love to hear from you!
I know, it sounds like so much research but believe me, it is so important. These are the photos that you want to look back on over and over again for years to come, the photos you’ll share with your children and grandchildren. It’s important that this gallery speaks to you and captures your emotions to be relived.
Each photographer is unique and handles their business differently, so I can’t speak for everyone, but these next steps are an example of the experience my couples can expect.
You Hear Back From The Photographer’s You Reached Out To!
Once I receive your inquiry, you can expect a fast response about how excited I am to hear from you along with an extensive guide. The guide includes more about me and my creative process, as well as my wedding photography collections, their pricing, what you can expect in the months leading up to your wedding, as well as a sample of what a wedding day timeline might look like with me as your photographer.
It’s Time to Talk To Your Potential Photographer
After reading through the guide, the next step is to book a consultation either over the phone or through zoom to discuss your needs, get to know each other, and chat about which collection is right for you.
In this step you will really be able to get a good sense of if we’re the right fit as well as get all of your questions answered so you can confidently make this choice.
Make Things Official
Once you have found your photographer who is a good fit and you’d like to move forward, you’ll receive a proposal, a contract and invoice to make your partnership official. Once you submit your contract and retainer fee, your date is secured and you can breathe a sigh of relief knowing you just found your dream wedding photographer!
Getting Prepped
During the weeks and months leading up to your wedding, I’ll act as a personal guide, offering vendor recommendations, tips and tricks, and more. If you choose a collection with an engagement session, we’ll schedule it for a few months before your wedding, and create a detailed shot list for the day of.
Engagement Session
It’s time to capture this special, fleeting season with beautiful photos! Your engagement session is a great opportunity to get comfortable with me and my camera and practice taking pictures together. Plus, you can use the photos for Save the Dates, wedding websites, and more!
Cue The Wedding Bells
The big day has finally arrived. It’s going to be great! I’ll get to your venue early to scout out the layout and lighting. Thanks to all the planning and prep we’ve done, you can simply relax and enjoy the moment while I do my thing!
Gallery Delivery
I’ll send you a hefty sneak peek gallery within 48 hours of your wedding to get you excited, then your full gallery will be delivered 6-8 weeks later. You can download and print them yourself, or I can create an heirloom-quality photo album for you.
