545 SR 313 Moab, Utah 84532
The Red Earth Venue is a unique spot that could have only been dreamt up by an adventurer. Angela Hays had worked across Moab for years as a wedding photographer. As she chatted with her clients, she noticed how hard it was for all of them to find a local spot where they could have their perfect receptions. They wanted to be in the middle of nature with their friends while celebrating their happily ever afters, and there just wasn’t a place that worked for them. That’s when Angela began to dream up something new! A former park ranger, she knew the importance of sustainability. She started the process of buying the location in 2018 and opened the venue in 2022. Today, she works with a team of experts who know how to give you a once-in-a-lifetime wedding story!
The Red Earth Venue is a thoughtfully designed space that puts you right in view of the Moab canyons. Located just between Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, your backdrop will be gorgeous no matter where you hold your ceremony. The first thing you need to know is that there are no dedicated get-ready spaces in the facilities. Trust me, there’s a good reason for this! Angela and her team wanted to create a 360-degree space where you would always be in the midst of nature, even when you were indoors. Luckily, Moab has a lot of great local options, including luxury hotels and nearby AirBnBs. You can reserve your ideal space and spend some time getting ready before heading out to the site.
For your ceremony, you will have your choice of two spots. The Desert Platform Site tends to be a favorite for this portion of the day. Just as the name suggests, this is a platform that puts you out in the middle of the desert with the red hills of Moab just behind you. You can work with the venue to create an aisle for your grand entrance. Most couples choose minimal decorations so they can let the rocks speak for themselves!
If you prefer an indoor wedding space, you can use The Glass Venue. Designed by a renowned architect, this jewel box-esque space features floor-to-ceiling windows that let the views shine through. It is located just a ¼ mile from The Desert Platform, and many couples choose to rent both spaces out to ensure total privacy. This is also going to give you the flexibility to have a designated space for every part of your celebration!
Once you are done exchanging your vows, you can head over to the patio outside The Glass Venue, where your guests can enjoy drinks with a view! This area of The Red Earth Venue is illuminated by string lights, and the venue will set up furniture where your friends and family can relax while you take your pictures.
For your reception, The Glass Venue is your place! This 1,800-square-foot space is able to hold up to 120 guests. Your friends and family can enjoy a feast beneath the wooden cathedral ceilings before they dance the night away. You can keep your entire dinner indoors, or you can head outside for your celebration, where you can dance beneath the star-lit sky. The venue has multiple glass accordion walls as well as large custom doors that bring the outdoors in. You can choose to open it up as much as you’d like for a party that seamlessly flows from space to space.
As a wedding photographer, let me just say The Red Earth Venue is an absolute dream! You will have no shortage of picture-perfect spaces as you celebrate your day. Throughout your ceremony, you will have the sunlit canyons as your backdrop. Once you have finished your vows, you can explore the 17 acres and find different spots for your portraits. The outdoor platforms are the best spots to get pictures with all the members of your family. You will have an accessible place for people of all ages and abilities to join in on the memories! The reception venue is well-lit to ensure you will have gorgeous pictures late into the night.
The Red Earth Venue is going to work with you to ensure you have everything you need for your dream wedding! To begin with, this is a pet-friendly venue to ensure your four-legged friend does not need to miss out on the celebration! The venue is also ADA-compliant, and they have modern bathrooms available to your guests throughout your entire day. The owners are incredibly accommodating to outside vendors, giving you total freedom for your caterers, your entertainment, and your decor.
While they may not have their own menu, they will give your caterers access to a full-service kitchen so they can create the best meals for your party. The venue will offer rentals such as 9-foot dining tables, hourglass chairs, cake and cocktail tables, fire pits, lounge furniture, and easels. Oh, and you don’t have to worry about getting things cleaned up at the end of the night. The venue has a dedicated team for set-up and breakdown.
